The Tandoori chicken was really good I squeezed the lemon all over it and it was really good, the vegetables were good the chicken was well seasoned and everything. 10/10 definitely recommend going there with friends.
We were in SB for the weekend to visit UCSB and we got hungry after touring that huge campus for 2 hours! I was so sceptical to try Indian food I wasn't familiar with, but my daughter insisted we try Naan Stop. Omg this may be the best Indian food we've ever had. Ever. I enjoyed the Spicy Garlic Naan and the Chicken Tikka Masala! They both were OUTSTANDING. I don't have any pictures, but I need u to understand me! We may just drive back down there just to go, if she doesn't go to UCSB. Just sit with that...
More of a takeaway restaurant but has some inside and outside seating. Decor is what you'd expect for takeaway. Many ready to serve dishes so the staff of two managed 8 of us plus the college customers in good time. They were very helpful and friendly. The food was awesome we had about all that was to offer. The Naan is fresh and must have. I had saag paneer and spicy coconut chicken plate. Awesome!
One of the few places in Isla Vista with FLAVOR. Naan Stop is a staple in this college town and we are lucky to have it! The food is full of big flavor, spices and quality ingredients - which can not be said about everywhere in IV. It's one of the few places I'd drive to IV for. The owner is one of the nicest people you'll meet and you can tell he truly cares about his business. His service, good energy and generosity is something we can all learn from. He makes sure it's comfortable,clean inside and ready to enjoy your amazing Indian food. Big fan of this guy!
1 Chicken 1 Vegetable Plate: Saag Paneer 8.58/10- so good, i love how creamy it is but not OVERLY creamy. Apparently the saag paneer has tofu instead of the cottage cheese, however I can't really tell. Chicken tikka masala 7.27/10- found it pretty watery unfortunately, however the flavor was still good. I wish it could have been a bit more spicy to add flavor. I felt like they didn't put that many pieces of chicken and also the pieces of chicken were kind of small. Also in relation to how much rice there is, so I feel like this could have been improved Garlic naan 7.48/10- some pieces were incredibly doughy, others very crisp. Pretty good, didn't have a huge flavor of garlic though but really good in relation to the vegetable/chicken plate
